With over 50 years of rich tradition, the Orange Coast College swim program has continued the pace set by teams of generations past.

Coach Anthony Iacopetti has helped prepare several student-athletes for the four-year collegiate level, while at the same time, generating a high standard for the entire team.

This past season, the Pirate men and women dominated the competition en route to the 2011 State Championships -- the fourth time in school history that both teams won the state titles in the same year.

Of the 81 state championships won by OCC in the school's history, 22 have come from the men's and women's swim programs.

In addition to the state hardware, Coast has dominated the competition in its own backyard, winning 27 men's conference titles since 1954, while the women have captured 23 conference titles since 1984. Both teams are the seven-time defending OEC champions heading into the 2012 season.
